The 2007 Grand-Puy-Lacoste has a bright ruby red color. On the nose, this wine presents a wonderful aromatic complexity with a touch of black berries and cherry aromas trimmed with spices, vanilla and liquorices. On the palate, this velvety, well concentrated wine shows a nice fruit extract. It is a very charming wine with silky tannins and beautiful harmony.
94 points Neal Martin’s Wine Journal: “Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s “10-Year On” tasting in London. The 2003 Chateau Margaux has a lovely nose with superb delineation – blackberry, cedar, minerals and wilted violets. To be brutally honest, it is clearly streets ahead of Palmer that was tasted in tandem. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and (hoorah!) a decent thread of acidity. It is not a complex Margaux, but it has personality, fine balance, elegance and admirable tension and race towards the finish. This First Growth shows its class. Excellent. Tasted March 2013.” (05/2013)
The low yield of the vine promotes the ripening of the Cabernet Sauvignon, of a stunning precision. They come naturally to equilibrate with the roundness of the Merlot, to deliver a wine of classic style with elegant finesse. Still slightly on the reserve, Cos d’Estournel 2008 with beautiful freshness rounds gradually, the powerful notes permitting the appearance of a bright fruit.
A very dense, almost black colour, with a pure, jammy nose. On the palate, there are hints
of liquorice, cashew nuts and vanilla. A rich, remarkably smooth structure. The finish is
exceptionally long, with plenty of finesse and elegance. Saint-Pierre 2005 will certainly be
a great wine to lay down.

2008, the great classical latecomer !
The 2009 Ducru-Beaucaillou boasts a beautiful deep violet robe. In the mouth, it exhibits a thick and luscious structure, as well as dense, albeit velvety and elegant, tannins. Its fruit is at once rich and dazzling and its finish silky smooth and wonderfully persistent.
The wine is deep in color, with a lovely tint of garnet. The nose is complex, its numerous traits dominated by a note of fresh black fruits (blackberries, black cherries) but also with an elegant floral touch. The attack is gentle and supple, full and generous in the mouth thereafter, and finally yielding truly voluptuous sensations in a very long finish.
2009 Château Beychevelle displays not only finesse and balance, but also enormous power. It can undoubtedly be considered as one of the estate’s historic vintages, and we will be delighted to compare it
with other great years.
Black fruit, sweet spices, and light tobacco; rounded on the palate, Château Beychevelle 2009 is characterized by finesse and balance.
The 2006 Troplong Mondot displays a magnificent, deep ruby colour. A nose of red berry fruit with hints of toast followed by fruit kernels, almonds and finally a touch of menthol and liquorice that is characteristic of the terroir. Fruit, freshness and oak make up a harmonious balance on the nose. On the palate, there is red berry fruit again and lovely freshness, good structure and vigour, cherries and kirsch. A long, full wine: a great, classic vintage for Troplong Mondot.
Mùa nho này được hưởng lợi từ thời tiết giúp tạo ra những trái nho chín hoàn hảo.
This vintage benefitted from weather conditions that contributed to the production of perfectly ripe grapes. These wines are bright ink black. On the nose, the ripe fruit aromas are fresh, not jammy. Pure red cherries, raspberries, and blackberries. On the palate they display lovely concentration with substance, but are in no way heavy. Their silky tannins balance perfectly with their supple richness. These wines are powerfull and concentrated, but velvet smooth and subtle too.
After an early start to growth, weather conditions in August and at the beginning of September caused slow ripening, making it possible to focus on freshness and ensure long ageing. Since the grapes were disease-free and perfectly ripe, harvesting could be carried out with full attention to detail. These wines are dense with beautiful fruity aromas and delicate grilled hints. The wines are dense, well balanced and have very elegant freshness.
Château Smith Haut Lafitte Red 2012 offers a beautiful dark bright red colour with blue hue. The already expressive nose reveals very fresh notes of red fruits (strawberry, cherry) with a hint of smoke. Once aerated, the nose complexity appears with delicate notes of spices (star anise, liquorice, cinnamon), of red fruits as well as beautiful and elegant flower notes. Then the nose stretches out with terroir aromas of flint stone and fireplace.
The attack in mouth is fresh and balanced with a fleshy and unctuous texture. The wine is a subtle balance between maturity and freshness: the maturity from the concentration, the impressive unctuosity and sugarity and the beautiful structure of long and classy tannins; the freshness from the tension, the dynamism and the
aroma sparkle. The whole defines very well this wine, already reachable, fresh, harmonious and very elegant. This long mouth gives way to a fresh very bordelaise finale, a red fruit explosion. The aromatic is very close to that of the nose, characterised by the freshness with crunchy red fruits, spices notes of liquorice, dry herbs and empyreumatic notes of fireplace and flint stone.
The new wine was deeply-coloured, almost black. It had great concentration with powerful, complex, and elegant aromas of red and black fruit, spices, herbs, cedar, liquorice, clove, and graphite…This complexity was also present on the palate, and the wine soon proved to be rich, powerful, balanced, and refreshing. With time, power and concentration have become its hallmarks – but not at all at the expense of finesse. The tannin is incredibly rich and there is a beautiful, long aftertaste. The aromatic complexity on the nose carries over to the palate, which features superb red fruit and spicy flavours (clove, liquorice, and cinnamon) as well as subtle overtones of graphite, gunflint, and violet…
The 2007 is a very deep and concentrated wine sitting like black plum in the glass. The wine itself on opening is tight with little aromatics of very dark blackberry and cedar notes. The palate was also tight and slightly aggressive like an angry youth. The tannin and acid structure were clunky and made themselves known immediately, the drying tannins took some time to die down and let the rest of the wines characters to shine through. After 6 hour of decanting the wine became more approachable and the delicacy of the fruit and savoury notes appeared. The black fruit, cedar, and made way for the red cherry, hint of instant coffee granules, and dried shitake mushroom.
Beautiful color, very deep with a mixing of the Haut-Brion ruby and its purple-violet shade of youth. Swishing the wine around in the glass gives a notion of its density. This complexity is followed up in the aromas that suddenly burst forth all at once: a woody hint of fine polished oak, mulberry jam, cherry pits, a touch of blackcurrant, and the bittersweet of mango. One discovers this complexness again with even more violence in the mouth. The specific notes of this vintage: the finesse of mocha, the toasted trace of praline all join with the above, melding together with tannins of great complexity and softness. The finish is never ending… Exceptional bottle. To be drunk today, tomorrow and surely even 100 years from now.
